My Furry Art: Early 2000 2001 2002 2003 |
Furry Artwork
Artwork involving Furry characters. You've probably seen cartoons where the characters are animals that stand upright and act like humans. Or perhaps the animal mascot for your favourite sports team drawn to look like an actual player. Failing that...there's no way you haven't seen Tony the Tiger! Those are all examples of furries. Furry, also known as Anthro or Anthropomorphism, is the concept of giving human attributes to non-human things. In this case, it's mainly giving these traits to animals. The term 'furry' stems from the fact that the most common type of anthropomorphic character is one with fur, such as a wolf, tiger etc. However, this doesn't mean it can't apply to creatures without fur, such as dragons and lizards. In some cases, the latter are also referred to as 'scalies'. Being Furry, or having a Furry online character means different things to different people. To me, it's a much needed escape from humanity, to a utopia of sorts. My Furry character, Draggor, represents my inner personality in a way. You can read more about this in the Information Section.
