Music Requests Policy
Policy about music requests and commissions.

(Last revised Dec 12/2001)

I no longer take music requests.

With my school work and suddenly flourishing social life, I don't even have time for much music these days. And when I do have time for music, I wanted to be free to compose what I wanted to compose, and not have the constant guilt of unfinished music requests hanging over my head.

I decided to simplify my life and drop all this unnecessary obligation over which I'd been stressing. There are much more important things than composing music for every single Sailor Moon site on the net - it was actually getting quite ridiculous. Even though the people were willing to pay, the SM concept was already something that had been beaten to death in my mind.

So as things stand, I'm only willing to consider music requests and commisions from close friends. And I stress CLOSE friends, so people online who I've tollerated for a few months don't count!

Also I'm still willing to do music for videogames, however my guidelines are a bit stricter now. And this also applies to all game projects I've agreed to help with in the past - they will have to meet these new requirements before I force myself to start or continue work on their music.

To pursuade me to compose music for a video game project, I must be convinced that it is legitimate. I want to see some history of completed game projects from the past, and they have to be programmed from scratch (ie. RPGMaker or other such game creation programs do not count!). I want to be impressed by at least a working game demo that has decent graphics and dialogue, and plenty of concept art. Lastly I want to see the credentials of every member on the programming team and find that they are currently attending or have graduated from some post-secondary institution.

When I compose music, I go all the way. I want to be certain you are willing to do the same.
